I have finally bought my copy today in church! We have much to rejoice in now that Keller’s book is going to be in the top 10 in The New York Times best seller list next week. Right now it is currently at #11. We should rejoice not merely because of it’s ranking but because of the awareness it is going to get in bookstores now. From what I’ve seen most bookstores only show the top 10 books, which will soon include The Reason For God, which in turn will produce a wider readership. I posted some links to a couple of reviews last month for your convenience and am now realizing it was by the same person. Whoops! I have included another review by Erin Collazo Miller. In America’s pluralistic society, it often seems as if religion is polarizing the country. Those who consider themselves believers are offended by books like God is Not Great and Letter to a Christian Nation, while evangelical Christians in the spotlight tend to push a confrontational political agenda that make secular people bristle. Into this atmosphere comes Timothy Keller’s new book, The Reason for God. Rather than adding fuel to the debate, Keller attempts to open dialogue while presenting a clear case for the rationality of Christian belief.
