Not too keen on McArthur all the time, but what he says makes sense. If you pray with a pure heart and do so out of love, not selfish desire, God will listen, but sometimes it seems like we do not get an answer, or not the answer we want, and when that happens, we have to search our own lives.
The Bible clearly states, I am waiting at the door, knock and the door will be answered. That means, if you really want God to come into your life and help, it doesn’t matter if you are saved or not, he will come, but if you do not believe someone can help you; if you don’t trust them and have faith in what they can do, then it will be harder for you to receive that help, so you have to be willing to take that leap of faith.
